My Approach
I take the time to help patients and their families understand the psychological, social, and biological factors causing their problems, ensuring each child or adolescent receives treatment that addresses their individual psychiatric, psychological, and family needs. I offer psychiatric treatments, psychotherapy, and parent counseling to help children and adolescents thrive as they grow.to help children and teens to thrive as they grow.
Neurodiversity is the term used to refer to the range of differences in individual brain function and behavioral traits, regarded as part of normal variation in the human population (used especially in the context of autistic spectrum disorders). I view certain diagnoses such as ADHD and autism as beneficial diversity within the human genome which may require additional support for the management of specific traits, rather than viewing them through the pathological model as disorders to be cured.
Education
I obtained my fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School and completed my residency training at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
